At home on the stage and on TV
I used to fix my kids’ lunches before the CBS Evening News cameras would arrive at my house. I’ve fielded questions from Anderson Cooper, shared my kitchen table with the Today Show, and sparred, live on air, with two Carlsons: Gretchen and Tucker. I had the great pleasure of bringing 300 cancer survivors and their loved ones to their feet in a standing ovation as the keynote speaker for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and wowed a crowd of my professional peers as the keynote speaker for the American Society of Journalists and Authors. Trained by the prestigious Heroic Public Speaking Graduate School, I bring the lessons I learned as a cancer patient to professionally performed speeches that bring tears and laughs to audiences when they need it most.
